BEREAVEMENT

Grief is a deeply personal experience, and everyone processes the loss of a loved one in their own unique way. There is no "right" way to grieve, nor a set timeline for healing – each journey is different. Bereavement support in hospice is not merely a formality; it is a crucial component of holistic end-of-life care. It emphasizes and honors the deep connection and unique relationships between patients and their families. Support does not end when a loved one dies. We ensure that the entire family is supported through the challenging transition from hospice care and through the grieving process.

At Bridges Hospice, we understand having a support system during this time can provide invaluable guidance, helping you recognize your strengths, challenges, stressors, and coping mechanisms as you navigate life after a profound loss. We understand that a key element of bereavement follow-up is recognizing family members as individuals with their own unique needs. It honors their grief, offering support as they navigate the complex emotions that arise from losing a loved one. That is why we offer thirteen months of grief support to individuals and families after a loss and are proud to offer personalized support through phone calls, in-person or virtual visits, support groups, grief support mailings, Memory Bear Program and additional resources.

Please call the office at 412-380-0711, where we can connect you with one our bereavement counselors, Alora or Allison to support you.
